Human Galectin 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Galectin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit is a quantitative colourmetric assay built on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with results obtained by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported performance figures include a product range of 0.781-50 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.29 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. The kit components comprise a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with items stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The assay uses a biotinylated anti-Galectin 1 detection antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to Galectin 1 concentration.

Validation data report serum recovery between 80%-102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma recovery between 81%-100% (average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma recovery between 80%-89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 per type).
