Human Galactosidase Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Galactosidase alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Galactosidase alpha pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Galactosidase alpha Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, with the resulting absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit has a stated detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml. Reported average recovery values across five samples are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma, with corresponding individual ranges of 80–102%, 81–100% and 80–89%. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions yields recovery ranges of 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma, and 82–105% for heparin plasma. The total assay time is 4 h 30 min.

Components supplied include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers.
