Human Furin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Furin in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips).

The workflow uses a biotinylated anti-Furin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate; TMB substrate is converted to a yellow product whose intensity, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to Furin concentration. Manufacturer data report a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml, an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery validation gave ranges of 80–102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
