Human Formyl Peptide Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Formyl Peptide Receptor 1 (FPR1) in cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

It employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for FPR1 pre-coated onto the plate, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-FPR1 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The colourmetric reaction is developed with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader and FPR1 concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Quoted performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) is reported as 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity at dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (n=5) is also provided in the manufacturer's documentation.
