Human Follistatin Like Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Follistatin Like Protein 1 (FSTL1/FRP) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilized antibody specific for FSTL1/FRP. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-FSTL1/FRP detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the concentration of FSTL1/FRP is calculated from the absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against a standard curve.

Validated for human reactivity, the quantitative assay covers a working range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 14.6 pg/ml and a total run time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery is 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.
