Human Follicle Stimulating Hormone Receptor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Follicle Stimulating Hormone Receptor (FSH-R) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and works on a competitive enzyme immunoassay principle, in which FSH-R present in samples or standards competes with immobilized FSH-R for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-FSH-R antibody. Following incubation and washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a yellow product measured by absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.124 ng/ml. Total assay time is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%), each with n=5. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
