Human Folate Receptor 1, Adult ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Folate Binding Protein (also described as Folate Receptor 1, Adult) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Folate Binding Protein in standards or test samples is captured by an immobilised antibody, then bound by a biotinylated anti-FBP antibody and detected with an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml and the stated sensitivity is <5.8 pg/ml.

Spike-and-recovery (n=5) is 80%-102% with an average of 91% in serum, 81%-100% with an average of 90% in EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% with an average of 84% in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum, 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma. Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the individual items.
