The kit uses a pre-coated microplate, Biotinylated Anti-mTOR Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, with a TMB substrate producing a colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.125 ng/ml and a working range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes.
