Human Ficolin 3 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human FCN3 (Ficolin 3) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for FCN3 that is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and the captured FCN3 is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-FCN3 Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate solution, producing a blue colour that turns yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the FCN3 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The kit is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric readout on a pre-coated microplate platform. It has a working range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.133 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Mean recovery values reported by the manufacturer, based on n=5 samples per matrix, are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%), with parallel dilution-linearity ranges also reported for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, a 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with storage specified at +4°C or -20°C according to component and a warning not to use past the expiration date.
