Human Ficolin 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ficolin 2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Ficolin 2. Standards and test samples are added into the wells and Ficolin 2 present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody; after washing, a biotinylated anti-Ficolin 2 detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Ficolin 2 captured in each well. Concentration of Ficolin 2 is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <7.3 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl) and Detection Solution B (120 μl), Wash Buffer (30X, 20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
