Human Fibulin 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fibulin 5 in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), with capture by an immobilised anti-Fibulin 5 antibody, detection by a Biotinylated Anti-Fibulin 5 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, and visualisation through a TMB substrate solution read at 450 nm in a colourmetric microplate reader. The reported assay range is 3.12–200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.24 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 m.

Recovery was evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5): serum 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum recoveries of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; EDTA plasma recoveries of 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; and heparin plasma recoveries of 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.

Kit components include a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate (–20°C), lyophilised standard (2 vials, –20°C), Detection Solution A (120 μl, –20°C), Detection Solution B (120 μl, –20°C), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml, +4°C), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml, –20°C), TMB Substrate (9 ml, +4°C), Stop Solution (6 ml, +4°C) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Components should be kept at the indicated storage temperatures and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
