Human Fibulin 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fibulin 2 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection performed colorimetrically on a microplate reader at 450 nm. The procedure follows a standard sandwich immunoassay format in which a biotinylated anti-Fibulin 2 detection antibody binds captured Fibulin 2, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, and a TMB substrate produces a yellow-coloured product after addition of acidic stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of Fibulin 2 in each well and is read against a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include an assay range of 12.5-800 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.2 pg/ml, with the full protocol completed in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery was evaluated across matrices: serum (n=5) showed an average recovery of 91% over a range of 80%-102%, EDTA plasma (n=5) averaged 90% with a range of 81%-100%, and heparin plasma (n=5) averaged 84% with a range of 80%-89%. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each matrix. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
