Human Fibroblast Growth Factor 6 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of human FGF6 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit, distributed by Antibodies.com, uses a 96-well pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and employs a biotinylated anti-FGF6 detection antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed with a TMB substrate and read as optical density at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve covers 78.1–5000 pg/ml, with a reported sensitivity of <37.33 pg/ml, and the complete assay can be performed in 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%, n=5), and dilution linearity has been examined at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same matrices. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.

Reactivity is limited to human FGF6, also known by the synonyms FGF-6, Fibroblast growth factor 6, HBGF-6, Heparin secretory-transforming protein 2, Heparin-binding growth factor 6, HST-2, HST2, HSTF-2 and HSTF2.
