From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fibroblast Growth Factor 5 (FGF5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-FGF5 antibody and HRP-avidin detection, with absorbance read at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <4.47 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported average recovery is 91% in serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5), and 84% in Heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5).
