Human Fibroblast Growth Factor 23 ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fibroblast Growth Factor 23 (FGF 23), this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an antibody specific for FGF 23. Standards and samples are added to the wells and bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-FGF 23 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Key performance characteristics include a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.6 pg/ml, with the assay completed in 4h 30m. Reactivity is validated for human samples. Reported mean recovery was 91% in serum (range 83%-100%, n=5), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90%-103%, n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90%-99%, n=5). Linearity was assessed across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with serum (n=5) ranging from 82% to 108%, EDTA plasma (n=5) from 72% to 107% and heparin plasma (n=5) from 82% to 108%.
