Human Fibrinogen Like Protein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human FGL2/Prothrombinase (Fibrinogen Like Protein 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples.

The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format. An antibody specific for FGL2/Prothrombinase is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-FGL2/Prothrombinase antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of FGL2/Prothrombinase is calculated by reference to the standard curve. The stated product range is 46.8–3000 pg/ml and the sensitivity is <18.65 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported average recovery across matrices (range, n=5) is 91% (80–102%) in serum, 90% (81–100%) in EDTA plasma, and 84% (80–89%) in heparin plasma.
