Human Fibrillin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables in vitro quantitative determination of human Fibrillin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The format uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip configuration. Standards and samples are added to wells where Fibrillin 1 is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Fibrillin 1 Antibody binds the captured target, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of the stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml, sensitivity is 0.122 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery averages are 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Reported linearity upon dilution from 1:2 to 1:16 yielded overall ranges of 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
