Human FGF-21 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Human FGF-21 ELISA Kit is a sandwich (quantitative) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human FGF-21 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay uses a monoclonal antibody specific for human FGF-21 pre-immobilised on microwell plates; standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody, then streptavidin-HRP. After washing, a substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to bound FGF-21; the reaction is stopped with acid and optical density is read on a microplate reader.

The kit has been shown to assay both native and recombinant human FGF-21 with no significant cross-reactivity. Sensitivity is reported at <0.19 pg/ml, with a product range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is 104%. Components should be stored at +4°C and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
