Human Ferroportin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ferroportin (SLC40A1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for SLC40A1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-SLC40A1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the SLC40A1 concentration is calculated from the standard curve. The stated product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.126 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m.

Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80-89%, average 84%). Dilutional linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
