Human Ferritin, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Mitochondrial Ferritin in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Manufacturer-stated performance figures include a standard curve range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.117 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery values are reported: average recovery of 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%). Per-dilution recovery ranges are also provided for each sample type at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions.

Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The workflow uses an immobilized capture antibody specific for Mitochondrial Ferritin, followed by a biotinylated anti-Mitochondrial Ferritin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to analyte concentration.
