Human Ferritin, Heavy Polypeptide ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ferritin Heavy Chain in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. Reactive with human samples, the assay uses a pre-coated microplate onto which a Ferritin Heavy Chain-specific capture antibody has been immobilised. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Ferritin Heavy Chain detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate; TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colourmetric microplate reader. Sensitivity is reported as 12.9 pg/ml, with an assay range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml and a total run time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. In spiked recovery studies (n=5), average recoveries were 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilutional linearity has been characterised across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for each sample type. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers; storage conditions differ by component, with most stored at –20°C and others at +4°C, and components must not be used past the expiration date.
