The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-Fatty Acid Synthase detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution yields a colourmetric read at 450 nm on a microplate reader. The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.124 ng/ml.
