Human Fatty Acid Desaturase 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the quantitative measurement of human FADS1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format with a biotinylated anti-FADS1 antibody and HRP-avidin detection; the enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm.

The standard curve spans an assay range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <33 pg/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%), with linearity demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.
