Human Fatty Acid Binding Protein 4, Adipocyte ELISA Kit

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format with a biotinylated anti-FABP4 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Colour development is achieved using TMB substrate, stopped with an acidic solution, and read at 450 nm. The reported assay range is 1.56–100 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.55 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the stated expiry date.

According to the manufacturer's data, spike-and-recovery in serum was 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity was reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
