The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with results read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The stated product range is 0.625–40 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.215 ng/ml. Sample recovery data reported: serum n=5, range 80%–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma n=5, range 81%–100%, average 90%; heparin plasma n=5, range 80%–89%, average 84%.
