A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Farnesoid X Receptor, also referred to as Bile Acid Receptor NR1H4. The kit is reactive with human samples and is suitable for tissue homogenates or other biological fluids, with detection performed on a pre-coated microplate platform read by a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quantification uses a biotinylated anti-target antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a measurable product whose optical density is read at 450 nm against a standard curve. Sensitivity is stated as <0.067 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The reported total assay time is 4h 30m. Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices, with mean recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively (n=5 each). Linearity is also characterised across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each of the three sample types.
