Human Family With Sequence Similarity 5, Member C ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro measurement of human FAM5C (Family With Sequence Similarity 5, Member C) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a biotinylated anti-FAM5C antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450nm in a microplate reader.

The standard assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.113 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery in serum averages 91% (range 83–100%, n=5), in EDTA plasma averages 94% (range 90–99%, n=5), and in heparin plasma averages 96% (range 91–101%, n=5). Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions ranges from 80–108% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. The kit is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl) and Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.
