Human Factor Related Apoptosis Ligand ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fas Ligand (Factor Related Apoptosis Ligand) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Fas Ligand. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and Fas Ligand present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Fas Ligand antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of Fas Ligand is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay has a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 5.8 pg/ml, and is completed in 4 hours 30 minutes on a colorimetric microplate reader platform. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported recovery ranges are 80%-102% for serum, 81%-100% for EDTA plasma and 80%-89% for heparin plasma, with dilution linearity data provided for these sample types.
