Human Factor Related Apoptosis ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fas (Factor Related Apoptosis) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with antibody specific for Fas; bound Fas is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Fas Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, then visualised with TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes an assay range of 39-2500 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 12 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5 per matrix) returned average recovery of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilutional linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions ran from 87-91% to 92-97% for serum, from 90-105% to 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and from 84-95% to 89-91% for heparin plasma. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
