Human Extracellular Signal Regulated Kinase 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Extracellular Signal Regulated Kinase 2 (ERK2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) is coated with an ERK2-specific capture antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-ERK2 Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of ERK2 is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

Sensitivity is reported at <18.06 pg/ml, with an assay range of 46.8–3000 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date. Recovery data (n=5): serum range 80–102% (average 91%); EDTA plasma range 81–100% (average 90%); heparin plasma range 80–89% (average 84%). Linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%; heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%.
