Human Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2 (EAAT2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for EAAT2 is pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-EAAT2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the density of yellow proportional to the amount of EAAT2 captured. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <0.113 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Mean recoveries are 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 was reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97% for serum (n=5); 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, and 79–108% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, and 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5).
