Human Estrogen Related Receptor Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Estrogen Related Receptor Alpha in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for Estrogen Related Receptor Alpha. Standards and samples are added to the wells, the target is bound by the immobilized antibody, and detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-Estrogen Related Receptor Alpha antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then added and catalysed to produce a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the target concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and the standard curve covers 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.127 ng/ml.

Recovery was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix), with average recoveries of 91% (range 80–102%), 90% (range 81–100%) and 84% (range 80–89%) respectively. Dilution linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
