Human Epigen ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Epigen in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate to capture Epigen from standards and samples, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Epigen Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After washing, TMB substrate is added; the resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the Epigen concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The kit is reactive with human samples including serum, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell lysates and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity is 0.112 ng/ml and the standard curve covers an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Average recoveries of 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma are reported, with linearity demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Total assay time is 4h 30m.
