Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The quantitative assay uses a pre-coated microplate format in which standards and samples are incubated with an immobilised capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-EGFR detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated with TMB substrate, stopped with acidic stop solution, and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <31 pg/ml and a measuring range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml, with the full protocol completed in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recoveries (n=5) are 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity is demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the product should not be used past its stated expiration date.
