Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

Branded by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative in vitro measurement of human ErbB2/HER2, also known as Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2. It is designed for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples.

The platform is a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the target is captured by an immobilized specific antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-ErbB2/HER2 detection antibody binds the captured analyte and HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.25 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml. The complete protocol takes 4h 30m. Spiking recovery in serum is reported at 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma at 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and in heparin plasma at 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
