Human Ephrin A4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the quantitative determination of human Ephrin A4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a biotinylated anti-Ephrin A4 detection antibody with HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve covers a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.117 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum gave an average of 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma.

Kit reagents include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, wash buffer concentrate, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. According to the supplied safety data sheet, the kit is classified for skin and eye irritation and skin sensitisation, and contains sulfuric acid (10–15%) together with a 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one / 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one reaction mass (<0.1%). Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiry date.
