Human Ephrin A3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ephrin A3 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. A 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Ephrin A3. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the Ephrin A3 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Ephrin A3 antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Ephrin A3 is calculated by referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of less than 0.051 ng/ml and a working range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spiking recovery has been validated for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%, average 84%).
