Human Enolase, Non Neuronal ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ENO1 (Enolase, Non Neuronal) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for ENO1. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and ENO1 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized capture antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-ENO1 antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of ENO1 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm against the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.126 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validated sample recoveries gave an average of 91% (range 80–102%) in serum, 90% (range 81–100%) in EDTA plasma and 84% (range 80–89%) in heparin plasma across the dilution series. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
