Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich ELISA (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Electron Transferring Flavoprotein Dehydrogenase (ETFDH). The kit is intended for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, with results calculated against a standard curve.
The assay reports a sensitivity of <0.072 ng/ml and a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Capture is achieved with a pre-coated antibody specific for ETFDH, followed by a biotinylated anti-ETFDH detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate that produces a yellow product proportional to ETFDH concentration in each well.
Spike-and-recovery testing gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%), across n=5 per matrix. Parallelism was assessed at 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each matrix. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated, and the product is for research use only.
