Human Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide (ETFA) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for ETFA; bound analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-ETFA Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is <0.052 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. The assay is performed on a pre-coated microplate and has a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.

Recovery has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Average recovery in undiluted samples was 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). At serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, recoveries spanned 74–107% in serum, 79–108% in EDTA plasma and 82–105% in heparin plasma.
