Human EIF2AK2 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a 4-hour sandwich ELISA (sELISA) kit designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PKR in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The Human EIF2AK2 ELISA Kit is specific for PKR with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an immobilized capture antibody specific for PKR. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where PKR binds to the capture antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for PKR is added, forming an antibody-antigen-antibody sandwich complex. After further incubation and washing, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is added, then TMB substrate is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction. The colour intensity at 450 nm is directly proportional to the concentration of PKR captured in each well.

Recovery in undiluted samples averages 93% for serum (range 86-103%, n=10), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90-105%, n=10), and 92% for heparin plasma (range 86-102%, n=10). Kit components include a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, sample dilution buffer, biotinylated detection antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer (25X), plate sealers, and a foil zip-sealed pouch. The kit is shipped at +4°C and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
