From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human EDIL3/DEL1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique uses an antibody specific for EDIL3/DEL1 pre-coated onto a microplate. Captured analyte is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-EDIL3/DEL1 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; catalysis produces a colour change from blue to yellow after the acidic stop solution is added, with intensity proportional to the amount of EDIL3/DEL1 present. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The quantitative assay covers a range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.131 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate platform. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery validation has been performed across sample matrices. In serum (n=5) recovery ranged from 80% to 102% with an average of 91%. In EDTA plasma (n=5) recovery ranged from 81% to 100% with an average of 90%. In heparin plasma (n=5) recovery ranged from 80% to 89% with an average of 84%.
