Human Echinoderm Microtubule Associated Protein Like Protein 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Echinoderm Microtubule Associated Protein Like Protein 2 (EML2) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for EML2 is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-EML2 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic catalysis, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of EML2 is calculated against the standard curve. Detection is colorimetric and total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported sensitivity is <0.113 ng/ml and the working range is 0.312-20 ng/ml. Sample validation (n=5 for each matrix) reported average recoveries of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Dilution testing at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 produced broadly consistent recovery ranges across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
