Human E2F Transcription Factor 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human E2F1 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. It employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, using a biotinylated Anti-E2F1 detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

The assay is reactive with human samples and has a reported sensitivity of 0.054 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Reported recovery values are an average of 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Supplied components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers, with kit components stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed. Required materials not supplied include a microplate reader capable of measuring absorbance at 450 nm ± 10 nm and a 37 °C incubator.
