Human E Selectin ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com as part of the Assays and Kits range, this Sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human E Selectin in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma samples. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay format with colorimetric detection on a microplate platform.

A monoclonal antibody specific for human sE-Selectin is immobilised onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for sE-Selectin. After incubation and washing, streptavidin-HRP is added, followed by a substrate solution. The colour development is stopped by the addition of acid and the optical density is read on a microplate reader, with signal proportional to the amount of sE-Selectin bound by the immobilised antibody.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 1.94 pg/ml (also stated as <1.94 pg/ml) and an assay range of 93.50 – 6000 pg/ml. It can assay both native and recombinant human E Selectin and has shown no significant cross-reactivity. Average recovery from serum samples is reported as 99%. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
