From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human DYNC1H1 (Dynein, Cytoplasmic 1, Heavy Chain 1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read colorimetrically at 450 nm, with an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.113 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle: standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for DYNC1H1, washed, and then incubated with Biotinylated Anti-DYNC1H1 Antibody, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of DYNC1H1 captured in each well. Reported recovery values: Serum (n=5) range 80%-102% (average 91%); EDTA Plasma (n=5) range 81%-101% (average 91%); Heparin Plasma (n=5) range 80%-89% (average 84%). Linearity is provided across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
