Human Dual Specificity Phosphatase 5 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Dual Specificity Phosphatase 5 (DUSP5) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, bearing a capture antibody specific for DUSP5. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where DUSP5 is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-DUSP5 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and DUSP5 concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml and the sensitivity is <0.053 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Validated sample types include serum, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, cell culture supernatant, tissue homogenates, and cell lysates. Reported recovery averages are 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5).
