Human Dopamine Receptor D2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Dopamine D2 Receptor in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection performed colorimetrically by reading absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml and sensitivity is 0.129 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit uses a sandwich immunoassay principle: standards and samples are captured by an antibody specific for Dopamine D2 Receptor that is pre-coated onto the plate, then detected with a biotinylated anti-Dopamine D2 Receptor antibody, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the intensity of yellow proportional to the amount of target captured in each well.

Recovery was validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each), giving average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% with ranges of 80–102%, 81–100% and 80–89% respectively. Parallelism was demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
