Human Diablo Homolog ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Smac/Diablo (Diablo Homolog) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. It is a colourimetric assay performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) using a biotinylated anti-Smac/Diablo detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, visualised with TMB substrate that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration calculated from the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

The reported sensitivity is <0.058 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. The kit is suitable for use with serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with reported spike-and-recovery averages of 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (81–101%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum (n=5); 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past the expiration date.
