Human Desmoglein 3 ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Desmoglein 3, this sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay has a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.118 ng/ml, and is read colorimetrically on a microplate reader.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Desmoglein 3 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where any Desmoglein 3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Desmoglein 3 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow, proportional to the amount of Desmoglein 3 captured, is read as O.D. absorbance at 450 nm and the concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

Average recovery has been reported at 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5 each). Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the product should not be used past its expiration date.
